Every puppy is cute especially little Basset Hound ones, but just because they are cute doesn't mean they are meant to be good show dogs. They make an excellent pet but not be successful in the show ring. When a judge enters the show ring he is looking for a dog that meets the description of the standard set out by the laws set up by the official Basset Hound Association in their bylaws.
